A-A-A-A-A-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H-!-!-!-!-!

My life is very stressful right now so forgive me if I do not seem to be the same person I was a few months ago... between coding, two babies, and being on the verge of loosing my job I find it hard to relax and type a blog entry, or browse the forums. Everyday I say to myself... "post an update in your blog when you get into work". been saying that for a couple weeks now and it never happens, but I can feel the tension growing so I put aside a few minutes to give you all an update.

I am a couple weeks behind, but things are going well, they are just taking longer than I thought. I have completed some rsync stuff and I am finishing the chat programs that make up On the 'Spot support (complete with server push - yay). This program will be expanded in the future for the ticketless system and wait staff requests.

I also completed some other stuff too, blah, blah, blah.... I just wish it was going faster. The way it looks now I would expect the source code to be available in about a week (or two).... Around the same time I start setting-up the production system.

Last thing - Earlier this week the control server became very unstable. This was not directly related to the update to my server setup by my hosting provider, but it was their fault. Some douche bag turned down my alloted resources and the system kept exceeded it's resource limits. Should be fine now.

Back to work.....

Interface Change & RSS Feed

Any expected delivery dates are pushed back by about a week because i made a major change to the already new control ui. I have been playing "catch-up" since last Friday. The new Zone Control will look something like this: zone_control.png

The RSS feed is done. You can receive an update via RSS when one of the following conditions occur: gateway failure, gateway recovery, active session change, or once an hour(during open times) if none of the previous events occur within the hour. Also if the gateway misses a ping for 3 minutes not only will you get an RSS update, but an email will be sent to the support email address.... one for the failure, one for the recovery.

Sample RSS feed:
